Ashton Ridley is the Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs at the College of Southern Nevada. In his current role he is responsible for conceptualizing, planning and execute day to day programming designed to promote diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness within the college. While overseeing the diversity-related activities of internal college committees that recognize military and veterans, LGBTQ, DACA, first generation, international, and multicultural students.

Previously Ashton was the assistant program, information technology manager, and membership coordinator for public radio KCEP 88.1 FM. In these various positions, he coordinated and oversaw public service events, managed computer systems, taught and implemented proper broadcasting strategies and techniques to staff.

Ashton also organized and managed the Bob Bailey Internship Program that offers high school and college students an opportunity to receive hands-on training in radio broadcasting and communications over the course of the year. Since June of 2000, he trained more than 350 interns in the field of radio broadcasting.

He is an active member of the Las Vegas Urban League Young Professionals, National Association of Broadcasters, Broadcast Education Association, State of Nevada Council of Black American Affairs, and the Finance and Compliance Officer for the National Eyelash Education and Safety Association (NEESA).

Ashton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, a Nonprofit Management Certificate, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. A native of Harvey, Illinois, he understands the importance of hard work, proper ethics and the right amount of dedication that it takes to manage and get the job done.
